Four Months and Four Days

in country. That's right, I've been her for four months now. I just past the mark on tuesday, but do to a fair bit of stress induced by the coincidence of relatively severe tension headaches, a paper coming due which I really didn't want to come due, and bleeding ears, I've been slacking off some. I finnaly bit my lip and went to the Dr yesterday. Turns out that I just need a massage for my headaches, that my paper was(at least the premise and logical progression of the argument) well recieved by the marker, and I some how scratched my ear canal with a "cotton-bud"(q-tip) and furthering the problem by searching for blood after finding it the first and second, although I can't remember when it would have happend. I've hopefully solved the latter two problems, mostly by having handed in the paper and it being out of my hands now, and just keeping thins out of my ear(supposedly olive oil is good for cleaning the ears if you're not satisfied with their self cleaning procedure). Now all I need to find is a topless swedish girl willing to rub my head(that was fully intended to sound just as dirty as it does). Not much else going on, I've been trying to get the photo function to work but I have a feeling that it has something to do with internet explorer which I'm only using because I can't seem to publish a blog through netscape. Microsoft is a bastard. yeah not much else new, I'm just trying to get through.

Classes have started up again, and again the week has flown by.

Eight nights in Prague

I've been thinking about how I'm going to present me first continental experience and in lue of boring not just you but also myself with Tolstoyian detail I think I'm just going to give you a list of the things I've learned during my week vacation.

1. I do not speak Czech.
2. Czech isn't just made up as you go.
3. Speaking broken English does not help them understand you.
4. Speaking broken English with a bad eastern European accent won't help.
5. Ano = Yes(Ano is frequently shortented to "no" with hillarious results)
6. Ne = No
7. Pivo = Beer
8. Krasni = Beautiful(possibly the only word you need to know if women work the way I think they work(they don't actually work the way I think they work but I don't like to admit it))
9. Na zdraavee = cheers (I'm sure on the literal translation but I think it has something to do with health)
10. Hodinky = wrist watch
11. Divaldo = Theatre
12. Dyekoi (pronounced yey-ku-ee) = thank you
13. I really don't know which direction the sun rises and sets in.
14. The road less traveled is usually quite an exellent metaphor and works well as a metaphor in life but in practice is usually leads to trouble.
15. I really know how to get lost.
16. If you're trying to get to a river walking up hill probably isn't the best way.
17. Everyone and their dog has a dog in Prague.
18. If you see a sign that says "no dogs allowed"(by the way I only know that's what it says because it was a picture of a dog with a line drawn through it) you will find lots of dogs and dog shit.
19. If you see lots of dogs you will also find lots of dog shit.
20. If you see no dogs you will still find lots of dog shit.
21. I assume that it is dog shit.
22. There is always something strange about homeless people who are dressed better than you asking for change.
23. A blow job costs 500 Kr (roughly $32 CND).
24. Prostitutes seem to like to approach me, and can be rather forceful.
25. Never let a prostitute get a hold of you unless you're looking for a prostitute.
26. When you measure prices in relation to the cost of a blow job it really puts things into prospective.
27. There are other things besides bombs and bullets that can wear down buildings and walls.
28. Ally McBeal is just as good in Czech.
29. Czech people aren't the nicest, though I think they thought I was American.
30. Prague is a city for lovers.
31. There is beauty such to make the heart ache.
32. Next time I travel I want to find a likemined individual to accompany me.

Unfortunately there seems to be some problems with the photo publishing function so you'll have to wait a little while until I can figure out what's going on. And by the way, just so you know I never actually called on the services of any of the ladies that approached me, as insistent as they were.
